CONCLUSIONS The scarring model resulted in significant damage and elevated viscoelasticity of the lamina propria. Hyaluronan preparations may alter viscoelasticity in scarred rabbit vocal folds. OBJECTIVES Vocal fold scarring results in stiffness of the lamina propria and severe voice problems.
