AbstractBackgroundRecently the Type VI secretion system (T6SS), which can play a significant role in bacterial survival and pathogenesis, was reported in Campylobacter spp., having the hcp gene as a key component.MethodsCampylobacteriosis is associated with the consumption of infected chicken meat.
