Delivery of healthcare services to the people living in remote places is a challenging task. A remote healthcare framework has been proposed in our earlier work based on sensor-cloud technologies. This paper explains the scenarios for deployment of such a framework in a remote healthcare delivery system. In our sensorcoud environment we propose to create virtual sensors and offer them on-demand to the health-care service providers for use in their services. In this paper, we discuss…

TLDR
A high performance I/O redirection algorithm is also proposed to deliver sensed traffic to multiple instances of virtual sensors that is accumulated from one or multiple physical sensors.
A Framework for Heterogeneous Resource Allocation in Sensor-Cloud Environment
TLDR
A sensor-cloud architecture which creates virtual sensors, i.e. a layer of abstraction at the Infrastructure as a Service level is proposed, and one such generic resource model along with request, reservation and allocation facilities for both computational and sensing resources is presented.
SenSchedule: Scheduling Heterogeneous Resources in Sensor-Cloud Infrastructure
TLDR
This paper proposes novel scheduling algorithms for heterogeneous resources having varying capabilities, contexts of usage and non-uniform performance over time and shows that the algorithms perform efficiently.

TLDR
A novel prime number based algorithm is proposed in this paper and its performance is compared with usual poling-based iterative algorithm on redirection of I/O traffic from the remotely situated sensors to the cloud over many-to-many connection.
A mechanism design framework for hiring experts in e-healthcare
TLDR
This work investigates the problem of hiring experts from outside of the hospital(s) in e-healthcare through mechanism design with and without money and proposes algorithms without money that satisfies several economic properties such as truthfulness, pareto optimality, and core allocation.
Ontology for Preliminary Detection of COVID-19
TLDR
An ontology-based technique to detect and preliminarily diagnose suspected COVID-19 patients without direct intervention of healthcare professionals is proposed and works as a part of remote healthcare services and tries to respond timely to the situation.
