Surgical intervention in patients with infected necrotizing pancreatitis generally consists of laparotomy and necrosectomy. This is an invasive procedure that is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. In this report, we present an alternative minimally invasive technique: videoscopic assisted retroperitoneal debridement (VARD).
