The fee viabrations of orthotropic as well as isotropic cylindrical shells of finite length, filled partially or completely with an incompressible, non-viscous fluid, are discussed on the basis of a shell theory in which the effects of transverse shear deformations and rotatory intertia are retained. Extensive results of computations, carried out to study the effects of various parameters on these vibrations, are presented.
