We determined a detailed conformation of the honeybee venom peptide melittin when bound to phosphatidylcholine vesicles using proton NMR. In the presence of vesicles of perdeuterated dipalmitoylglycerophosphocholine, two-dimensional transferred nuclear Overhauser enhancement (TRNOE) experiments were carried out.
