Formal languages such as the B language, enable the dynamic behaviour of a system to be investigated and verified. B is particularly suitable for this because of its good level of tool support. A model’s behaviour can be explored using the animation facilities in the B Toolkit. It’s behaviour can be proven to conform to its specified invariants using the proof tools available in the B tools.
