The personal Internet communicator (110): a data processor (202) is adapted to control the exchange of software files and data files between the personal Internet communicator (110) and a service computer; and an operating system (232) that provides a verification process, comprising: a database (412) with a plurality of software files for execution by the processor; a software update module (234) which is adapted to only allow installations of bootable devices having a key that matches a stored installation key; a verification file list with a list of authorized software files; and a verification module (424) that is configured to receive a request from a Betriebssystemeinladeprogramm for executing software file and compare the requested software files with authorized software files on the verification file list, wherein the verification file list can be updated according to the status of a user.
