We conducted subjective quality assessment tests to investigate the possibility of using the DSCQS method as a metric for 4K video quality. With 4K video, the quality of the encoded videos may be close to that of the reference video depending on the encoding rate. Therefore, there is concern that non-experts will not be able to make a stable and reproducible assessment of the difference in quality between the reference and assessment videos.
