Fingerprint verification is one of the most reliable personal identification methods. Generally, a based fingerprint verification automatic system, takes advantage of the matching between one on-line acquired fingerprint image and the related database fingerprint image. The proposed system is mainly characterized by noise immune algorithms and by a new operator based on an extension of the Tanimoto distance.
