We propose an alternative theory of gravity which assumes that background geometry of the Universe is fixed four dimensional Euclidean space and gravity is a vector field Ak in this space which breaks the Euclidean symmetry. Direction of Ak gives the time coordinate, while perpendicular directions are spatial coordinates. Vector gravitational field is coupled to matter universally and minimally through the equivalent metric fik which is a functional of Ak. We show that such assumptions yield a…

GW170817 event rules out general relativity in favor of vector gravity

The observation of gravitational waves by the three LIGO-Virgo interferometers allows the examination of the polarization of gravitational waves. Here, we analyze the binary neutron star event

Does GW170814 rule out non-tensorial gravitational wave polarization?

To determine the polarization character of gravitational waves, we use strain data from the GW170814 binary black hole coalescence event detected by the three LIGO-Virgo observatories, extracting the

Traversable Wormholes, Regular Black Holes, and Black-Bounces

Various spacetime candidates for traversable wormholes, regular black holes, and ‘black-bounces’ are presented and thoroughly explored in the context of the gravitational theory of general

Exponential metric represents a traversable wormhole

For various reasons a number of authors have mooted an "exponential form" for the spacetime metric: \[ ds^2 = - e^{-2m/r} dt^2 + e^{+2m/r}\{dr^2 + r^2(d\theta^2+\sin^2\theta \, d\phi^2)\}. \] While

Theory of gravitation with an alternative to black holes

A gauge theory of gravitation is proposed in which the Lagrangian is constructed from vierbein-based invariants rather than local affine connections. The vierbein invariants are more basic than the

Static Gravitation on the Basis of Equivalence

It is attempted to construct a theory of static gravitation in empty space on the basis of only special relativity and equivalence. The derivation contains three steps: fixation of time coordinate,

Gravity from spinors

We investigate a possible unified theory of all interactions which is based only on fundamental spinor fields. The vielbein and metric arise as composite objects. The effective quantum gravitational

On the new theory of gravitation

A locally Lorentz-invariant curved-space theory of gravitation, where the local field is a massless, spin-2 field, φΜgn, of Pauli-Fierz type, is presented. In this theory gΜΝ is no longer the

Is exponential metric a natural space-time metric of Newtonian gravity ?

We show how Newtonian gravity with effective (actually observed) masses, obeying the mass-energy relation of special relativity, can explain all observations used to test General relativity. Dynamics

Microwave cavity searches for dark-matter axions

Recent determinations of cosmological parameters point to a flat Universe, whose total energy density is composed of about two-thirds vacuum energy and one-third matter. Ordinary baryonic matter is

AN APPROACH TO A THEORY OF GRAVITATION

The form of the space–time metric in a scalar theory of gravitation follows from the assumption that the potential is arbitrary to the extent of an additive constant. No field equations are needed.

Observational Evidence from Supernovae for an Accelerating Universe and a Cosmological Constant

We present spectral and photometric observations of 10 Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) in the redshift range 0.16 ≤ z ≤ 0.62. The luminosity distances of these objects are determined by methods that
