This paper deals with an extension of Park's transformation to model permanent magnet (PM) non- sinusoidal machines by means of the so-called pseudo-dq axes reference frame. Speed and torque vector control can then be implemented resulting in a motor drive performance close to that of sinusoidal PM machines drives.
