Time-series CCD photometric observations of the intermediate-age open cluster NGC 2099 were performed to search for variable stars. We also carried out BV photometry to study physical properties of variables in the cluster. Using V-band time-series data, we carefully examined light variations of about 12,000 stars in the range of 10 < V< 22 mag. A total of 24 variable stars have been identified; seven stars are previously known variables, and 17 stars are newly identified. On the basis of… Expand

Variable Stars in the Open Cluster M11 (NGC 6705)
V-band time-series CCD photometric observations of the intermediate-age open cluster M11 were performed to search for variable stars. Using these time-series data, we carefully examined lightExpand
Variable stars in the field of open cluster NGC 2126
We report the results of a time-series CCD photometric survey of variable stars in the fi eld of open cluster NGC 2126. In about a one square degree fi eld covering the cluster, a total of 21Expand

Statistical Properties of Galactic {\delta} Scuti Stars: Revisited
• Physics
• 2013
We present statistical characteristics of 1,578 {\delta} Scuti stars including nearby field stars and cluster member stars within the Milky Way. We obtained 46% of these stars (718 stars) from theExpand
Binary star detection in the open cluster King 1 field
A rarely studied open cluster, King 1 is observed using the 1.3m telescope equipped with 2k x 4k CCD at the Vainu Bappu Observatory, India. We analyse the photometric data obtained from the CCDExpand
Deep MMT Transit Survey of the Open Cluster M37 I: Observations and Cluster Parameters
We have conducted a deep ( -->15 r 23), 20 night survey for transiting planets in the intermediate-age open cluster M37 (NGC 2099) using the Megacam wide-field mosaic CCD camera on the 6.5 m MMT. InExpand
Linking Stellar Coronal Activity and Rotation at 500 Myr: A Deep Chandra Observation of M37
Empirical calibrations of the stellar age-rotation-activity relation (ARAR) rely on observations of the co-eval populations of stars in open clusters. We used the Chandra X-ray Observatory to studyExpand
