Time-series CCD photometric observations of the intermediate-age open cluster NGC 2099 were performed to search for variable stars. We also carried out BV photometry to study physical properties of variables in the cluster. Using V-band time-series data, we carefully examined light variations of about 12,000 stars in the range of 10 < V< 22 mag. A total of 24 variable stars have been identified; seven stars are previously known variables, and 17 stars are newly identified. On the basis of… Expand
Variable Stars in the Open Cluster M11 (NGC 6705)
V-band time-series CCD photometric observations of the intermediate-age open cluster M11 were performed to search for variable stars. Using these time-series data, we carefully examined lightExpand
Variable stars in the field of open cluster NGC 2126
We report the results of a time-series CCD photometric survey of variable stars in the fi eld of open cluster NGC 2126. In about a one square degree fi eld covering the cluster, a total of 21Expand
Variable stars in the field of intermediate-age open cluster NGC 559
This work presents the first long-term photometric variability survey of the intermediate-age open cluster NGC 559. Time-series V band photometric observations on 40 nights taken over more than threeExpand
Deep MMT* Transit Survey of the Open Cluster M37. II. Variable Stars
We have conducted a deep (15 r 23), 20 night survey for transiting planets in the intermediate-age (~550 Myr) open cluster M37 (NGC 2099) using the Megacam wide-field mosaic CCD camera on the 6.5 mExpand
A New Catalog of Variable Stars in the Field of the Open Cluster M37
We present a comprehensive re-analysis of stellar photometric variability in the field of the open cluster M37 following the application of a new photometry and de-trending method to MMT/MegacamExpand
Searching for short-period variable stars in the direction of Coma Berenices and Upgren 1 open clusters: Melotte 111 AV 1224 a new eclipsing binary star
Abstract We report the results of CCD photometric observations in the direction of the Coma Berenices and Upgren 1 open clusters with the aim at searching for new short-period variable stars. A totalExpand
Statistical Properties of Galactic {\delta} Scuti Stars: Revisited
We present statistical characteristics of 1,578 {\delta} Scuti stars including nearby field stars and cluster member stars within the Milky Way. We obtained 46% of these stars (718 stars) from theExpand
Binary star detection in the open cluster King 1 field
A rarely studied open cluster, King 1 is observed using the 1.3m telescope equipped with 2k x 4k CCD at the Vainu Bappu Observatory, India. We analyse the photometric data obtained from the CCDExpand
Deep MMT Transit Survey of the Open Cluster M37 I: Observations and Cluster Parameters
We have conducted a deep ( -->15 r 23), 20 night survey for transiting planets in the intermediate-age open cluster M37 (NGC 2099) using the Megacam wide-field mosaic CCD camera on the 6.5 m MMT. InExpand
Linking Stellar Coronal Activity and Rotation at 500 Myr: A Deep Chandra Observation of M37
Empirical calibrations of the stellar age-rotation-activity relation (ARAR) rely on observations of the co-eval populations of stars in open clusters. We used the Chandra X-ray Observatory to studyExpand

Time-series CCD photometric observations of an intermediate age open cluster NGC 2301 were per- formed to search for variable stars, particularly Dor stars and Sct stars. We also carried outUBVIExpand
A variable star survey of the open cluster M 37
A CCD photometric study of the dense galactic open cluster M 37 is presented and discussed. The majority of the analysed data are time-series measurements obtained through an R C filter. TheExpand
The White Dwarf Cooling Age of the Rich Open Star Cluster NGC 2099 (M37)
We present deep CCD photometry of the very rich, intermediate-age (similar to the Hyades) open star cluster NGC 2099 (M37). The V, B-V color-magnitude diagram (CMD) for the cluster shows an extremelyExpand
A comprehensive study of the rich open star cluster NGC 2099 based on deep BVI CCD observations

HD 8801: A Unique Single Am Star with γ Doradus and δ Scuti Pulsations
We have discovered the first example of a star pulsating intrinsically with both γ Doradus and δ Scuti frequencies. The star, HD 8801, is an Am metallic-line star that appears to be single. Since theExpand
Time-Resolved CCD Photometry of an Ensemble of Stars
