The heterologous expression and characterization of a Hormone‐Sensitive Lipases (HSL) esterase (BaEstB) from the Basidiomycete fungus Bjerkandera adusta is reported and it is concluded that BaEstB is an ortholog of the previously described RmEstB‐HSL from the phylogenetically distant fungus Rhizomucor miehei.

Assessment of Acute Oral and Dermal Toxicity of 2 Ethyl-Carbamates with Activity against Rhipicephalus microplus in Rats
It is demonstrated that the carbamates under study have a low oral hazard and low acute dermal toxicity and the dermal application of the maximum dose of each carbamate did not cause clinical manifestations or liver and skin alterations.
