Blood natriuretic peptide (NP) levels have been reported to be useful for predicting postoperative atrial fibrillation (AF). We aimed to quantitatively synthesize the current evidence of the accuracy of using NP levels in predicting postoperative AF. Medline, Embase, and reference lists were searched.
