BACKGROUND Reproductive endocrine disorders characterized by menstrual disorders, polycystic ovaries, and hyperandrogenism seem to be common among women treated with sodium valproate for epilepsy. OBJECTIVE To describe the development of valproate-related reproductive endocrine disorders in women with epilepsy. DESIGN Case report.
