Employee turnover is a costly and destructive phenomenon in retailing. Retailers typically experience anywhere from 25% to 75% annual turnover of sta!. Reduction of turnover can have direct e!ects on the bottom line. Exit interviews are common means by which retailers try to understand why their employees are leaving.
