A flow phantom was used to study MR volume flow measurements for monophasic and triphasic waveforms over the flow range expected in peripheral arteries at rest and with exercise (2-24 mL/sec, n = 50). The improvement in accuracy with phase-correction image processing to eliminate errors caused by eddy currents was measured. Volume flow estimates with Doppler sonography were also measured.
