Validation procedures are described for 12 chemical spot tests including cobalt thiocyanate, Dille-Koppanyi, Duquenois-Levine, Mandelin, Marquis, nitric acid, para-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde, ferric chloride, Froehde, Mecke, Zwikker and Simon's (nitroprusside). The validation procedures include specificity and limit of detection.
