Arterial lumen volume, determined by sequential coronary angiography, could have advantages over more commonly used variables (such as percent stenosis or minimal lumen diameter) as a primary endpoint in clinical trials evaluating post-angioplasty restenosis or atherosclerotic plaque progression.
