The lympho-hematopoietic colony-forming assay has been redesigned into a rapid, nonsubjective and standardized proliferation assay that can measure the effects of compounds on multiple stem and progenitor cell populations from different species simultaneously using a sensitive, high-throughput bioluminescence readout.
