PURPOSE To study the patterns of vitreous incarceration at sclerotomy sites by ultrasound biomicroscopy in patients subjected to valved or nonvalved small-gauge pars plana vitrectomy. METHODS A prospective comparative study of 88 eyes affected by epiretinal membrane and macular hole.
