SummaryTwenty grower ewes with an average weight of 14·3 ± 3·7 kg were allotted to 5 dietary treatments. The diets contained 0, 13, 25, 35 and 45% dried caged-hen manure which replaced 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%, respectively of the conventional protein supplements. The animals were fed 55·0 g/w0·75 kg/day of the concentrate food during a 104 days growth study. Air dried cassava peels and water were also providedad libitum. The differences in average total dry matter intake were not statistically…
Response of weaner rabbits to diets containing fermented mixtures of cassava peel and dried caged layers manure
TLDR
Maize can be optimally replaced at 25% in the diet of weaner rabbits by FCPCLM fermented either at 7 or 14 days without adverse effect on their growth performance.
Performance of West African dwarf goats fed dehydrated poultry manure as a dry season supplement
TLDR
Dehydrated poultry manure (incorporated with molasses) supplementation improved the overall performance of goats grazing low quality natural pastures on the Accra Plains of Ghana.
Study on the Use of Dried Poultry Litter in the Camel's Ration
TLDR
Dried poultry litter can be utilized efficiently and safely in rations of camels up to a level of 25 % without adversely effect on performance and some blood biochemical parameters.
Drying of Poultry Manure for Use as Animal Feed
The poultry industry is one of the largest and fastest growing sectors of livestock production in the world. The estimated 2010 world flock was over 18 billion birds with a yearly manure output of 22
The EFFECT OF INNOCULUM ON BIOGAS PRODUCTION FROM CASSAVA PEELS
This paper investigated the innoculum effect on cassava peels for biogas production. Cassava peels was mixed with cattle dung and poultry droppings as innoculum by mass into six different
Present and potential impacts of waste from poultry production on the environment
Poultry production is associated with greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions but at a much lower extent than other livestock. Global production of nitrogen from poultry excreta has been estimated at about
Biodigestion of cassava peels blended with pig dung for methane generation
TLDR
Biogas production from cassava peels and pig dung under a mesophilic temperature condition was investigated and there was blending effect resulting in increase in yield of biogas over the sole digestion of cassava peel or Pig dung.

DRIED POULTRY WASTE VERSUS GROUNDNUT CAKE AS PROTEIN SUPPLEMENT FOR GRAZING WEST AFRICAN DWARF GOATS AND SHEEP
TLDR
In two separate experiments dried poultry waste from caged-layer units was evaluated as a protein supplement for small ruminants, and performance of animals on DPW supplemented remained as good as or even better than those on the control diet.
maize replacement value of fermented cassava peels (Manihot utilissma Pohl) in rations for sheep
TLDR
Rations containing dried fermented cassava peels at 0,20, 40 and 60% over a 6 month period to determine the optimum level at which maize could be replaced without any effect on digestibility of rations and liveweight performance were determined.
