OBJECTIVE To determine whether uterine artery embolization is safe and effective for treating uterine leiomyomata. METHODS We analyzed 200 consecutive patients (61 reported previously) undergoing uterine artery embolization for the treatment of uterine leiomyomata at a single institution.
