In this paper, we present a novel approach to the i ssue of extraction and tracking of objects in digit al aerial images. The algorithms presented here are based on fuzzy system s heory, and are designed to function within an in tegrated geospatial environment. Such an environment comprises digital im ges and pre-existing information on the objects depicted on them. Preexisting information can be in the form of maps, DE Ms, and other GIS data in general.
