This paper examines the causal effect of collective bargaining on the structure of wages. Based on a detailed linked employer-employee data set, I estimate the Marginal Treatment Effects (MTE) as introduced by Heckman and Vytlacil (2005) and then recover the Average Treatment Effect (ATE) and the Average Treatment Effect on the Treated (ATET) for the level of wages.
