To evaluate the platelet function analyser PFA 100™ and impact of sample storage for pigs, samples from 24 German large white swine (3–5 months) were measured 15 and 30 min (n = 24) and 1, 2, 4, 8 and 24 h (n = 9) after sampling. For the PFA-100™ analyses, 10–20 ml sodium citrate anticoagulated blood were withdrawn from the vena femoralis using a 5-F catheter.
