Application of the diffuse approximation to the posttreatment of electromagnetic field computations is investigated. This numerical method is very attractive since it does not require a mesh and leads to continuous estimates of the unknown function and its derivatives. The use of the diffuse element method to solve electromagnetic formulations is also considered. The implementation of the method into the finite element software FLUX3D is discussed. Numerical experiments are very encouraging. >
