OBJECTIVE To investigate the use of the oral prostaglandin E1 analogue, misoprostol in the prevention of postpartum haemorrhage. DESIGN A prospective observational study. SETTING A university teaching hospital. PARTICIPANTS Two hundred and thirty-seven consecutive women undergoing vaginal delivery.
