Early treatment for choroidal neovascularization (CNV) is an important part of preserving visual function for patients with age-related macular degeneration. Preferential hyperacuity perimetry (PHP) provides high accuracy, sensitivity and specificity for detecting changes in lesions in diagnostic and treatment stages.
