Urinary infection in a remote practice.

Abstract

The results of these studies suggest that both the 'N-Labstix' nitrite test and the 'Uriglox' test for hypoglycosuria, although highly convenient, are far too inaccurate in the diagnosis of urinary infections. As yet, methods are still not available for the speedy and accurate diagnosis of urinary-tract infections in remote areas, and, inevitably, treatment will continue to be given on an empirical basis.
