}Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most lethal types of human cancer worldwide. In the present study, we investigated the diagnostic and biological significance of microRNA-194 (miR-194) in PDAC. miRNA expression profiling of human PDACs and adjacent normal pancreatic tissues identified a total of 16 genes including miR-194 with >1.15-fold expression changes (8 overexpressed and 8 underexpressed). Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) revealed elevation of…

Tumor-Suppressive miR-192-5p Has Prognostic Value in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma
- Biology, MedicineCancers
- 2020
High expression of miR-192-5p in PDAC tissue of curatively resected PDAC patients correlated with prolonged overall and recurrence-free survival in multivariate analysis, and MiR- 192-5P seems to possess a tumor-suppressive role and high potential as a diagnostic and prognostic marker in PDac.

MicroRNA-148a is down-regulated in human pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas and regulates cell survival by targeting CDC25B
- BiologyLaboratory Investigation
- 2011
CDC25B is identified as a novel miR-148a target which may confer a proliferative advantage in PDAC and the activity of a luciferase reporter containing the 3′UTR of CDC25B was repressed in the presence of miR -148a mimics, confirming that miR –148a targets the 3″ untranslated region of CDC 25B.
