Unusual presentation of hydatid cyst – ruptured intraventricular hydatid

Abstract

Echinococcosis in humans occurs as a result of infection by the larval stages of taenid cestodes of the genus Echinococcus. Most of the intracranial hydatids develop in brain parenchyma.
