Abstract This paper is the second of two papers which describe the simultaneous measurement of time resolved heat flux and local velocity at the surface of a cylinder in cross flow. Tests are conducted with high freestream turbulence for a range of Reynolds numbers and transition to turbulence occurs within the boundary layer on the cylinder.
