The present investigation deals with Mx/G/1 retrial queue with unreliable server and general retrial times. The server is subject to breakdowns and takes some setup time before starting the repair. The server renders first essential phase of service (FES) to all the arriving customers whereas second optional phase services (SOS) are provided after FES to only those customers who opt for it. The impatient customers are allowed to balk depending upon server’s status; they may also renege after…

Mx/G/1 retrial vacation queue for multi-optional services, phase repair and reneging

By using supplementary variables technique and probability generating function method, the explicit expressions for the queue size distribution and other performance measures have been derived and the neuro fuzzy approach has been used to approximate the analytical results.

Retrial queue with multiple repairs, multiple services and non preemptive priority

In the present investigation, the supplementary variable technique and the method of generating function have been used and the sensitivity of various parameters on the system performance has been examined numerically by taking an illustration.

Embedded Markov chain approach to retrial queue with vacation, phase repair and multioptional services

The investigation deals with the steady-state behavior of a batch arrival retrial queue with multi-optional services and phase repair under Bernoulli vacation schedule and establishes the ergodicity condition for the system by applying the embedded Markov chain method.

Unreliable bulk retrial queues with delayed repairs and modified vacation policy

The present investigation deals with the bulk arrival M/G/1 retrial queue with impatient customers and modified vacation policy, where the incoming customers are impatient and may renege on seeing a long queue of the customers for the service.

Preventive maintenance in an unreliable M/G/1 retrial queue with persistent and impatient customers

A new version of an unreliable retrial queue with persistent and impatient customers with corrective and preventive maintenances is studied and some performance measures are derived.

M/G/1 Feedback Queue with Two Stage Heterogeneous Service and Deterministic Server Vacations

We analyze single server feedback queue with Poisson arrivals, two stages of heteroneous service with different (arbitrary) service time distributions subject to deterministic vacation of constant

Admission control of bulk retrial feedback queue with K-optional vacations

In this study, we have made an attempt to provide a ready reckoner for solving many congestion problems of day-to-day life under techno-economic constraints which can be seen in many industrial

N-policy for $${M}^{{x}}/\hbox {G}/1$$Mx/G/1 Unreliable Retrial G-Queue with Preemptive Resume and Multi-services

Bulk arrival retrial G-queue with impatient customers and multi-services subject to server breakdowns and various performance measures like reliability indices and long run probabilities have been obtained.

An M X /G/1 retrial queue with two-phase service subject to active server breakdowns and two types of repair

This paper analyses a single server batch arrival retrial queue with active breakdowns, two types of repair and second optional service (SOS); the effects of several parameters on the system are analysed numerically and reliability of the proposed model is analysed.

Mx/G/1 Retrial Queue with Multiple Vacations and Starting Failures

Analytical results for the queue length distribution as well as some performance measures of the system under steady-state condition are derived and it is shown that the general stochastic decomposition law for Mx/G/1 queue with multiple vacation models holds for the present system.

Unreliable M/G/1 retrial queue with geometric loss and random reserved time

The main aspects of the study of retrial queues: stability condition, joint generating function of the number of customers in the orbit and the state of the server, waiting times and busy period are concentrated on.
