BACKGROUND In acute coronary syndrome without ST elevation, the role of unfractionated and low-molecular-weight heparin in aspirin-treated patients remains unclear, and there is conflicting evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) relative to unfractionated heparin.
