This paper presents an application of Model Driven Engineering to the design of a complete news processing line within the scope of culture and leisure information. MDE is the only technology actually enabling to master the management of complex composite events with spatial and temporal properties, and to cope with making heterogeneous applications interoperate. We provide an overview of our approach and outline the salient points of our metamodels. The stress is put on the event metamodel…

Modélisation d'événements composites répétitifs, propriétés et relations temporelles. (Modeling periodic composite events, temporal properties and relations)

TLDR
Le meta modele PTOM (Periodic Temporal Occurrence Metamodel) prend en compte l’expression de contraintes structurelles sur les evenements, ou geometriques, topologiques et relationnelles sur la temporalite de leurs occurrences.

Event-driven modeling for context-aware information systems

TLDR
The importance and challenges in designing event-driven applications are discussed through a comparison between some event- driven metamodels and an event metammodel to instantiate productive and comprehensible models is proposed.

Validation sémantique d'objets à l'aide d'un modèle de référence et de contraintes

TLDR
This paper accounts for the use of a set of reference domain (meta)models in order to check the semantic consistency of aset of instances and allows a synchronized browsing of the domain metamodel and its related models.

Modélisation et reformulation d'expressions temporelles extraites de textes en langage naturel

Résumé. L’approche présentée modélise et reformule des expressions temporelles décrivant des événements périodiques extraites de textes en langage naturel tels que saisis par un humain. Ces

Temporal Knowledge Acquisition and Modeling

TLDR
The foundations and the functionalities of a temporal knowledge acquisition and modeling solution workflow, which aims at acquiring temporal knowledge from texts in order to populate a constrained object model, are presented and tested.

Weaving executability into object-oriented meta-languages

TLDR
This paper explores the idea of using aspect-oriented modeling to add precise action specifications with static type checking and genericity at the meta level, and believes that such a combination would bring significant benefits to the community, such as the specification, simulation and testing of operational semantics of metamodels.

Modeling time(s)

TLDR
This work argues here that in early design phases, time is often of logical (rather than physical) nature, even possibly multiform, and gives a UML representation of these concepts through two subprofiles, parts of the foundations of the forthcoming OMG UML Profile for Modeling and Analysis of Real-Time and Embedded systems (MARTE).

Evaluation of Kermeta for solving graph-based problems

TLDR
Kermeta is relatively suitable for solving three graph-based problems and the three solutions proposed and their evaluation according to the criteria of genericity, extensibility, and performance are the main contribution of the paper.

A Generic Approach for Automatic Model Composition

TLDR
This paper proposes a generic framework for composition that is independent from a modelling language, a process for adapting this framework to particular modelling language (defined with a metamodel) and illustrates how the generic composition has been specialized for class diagrams.

ISO-TimeML: An International Standard for Semantic Annotation

In this paper, we present ISO-TimeML, a revised and interoperable version of the temporal markup language, TimeML. We describe the changes and enrichments made, while framing the effort in a more

Location- and temporal-based services for nature–society interaction regulation

TLDR
A general object model dedicated to specifying time properties is presented here with a formal grammar close to natural languages, which helps end users in managing and checking temporal object instances.

Model Composition-A Signature-Based Approach

TLDR
A model composition technique that relies on signature matching: A model element is merged with another if their signatures match, which is capable of detecting some conflicts that can arise during composition.
