: We study uncertainties of the predicted inclusive Higgs production cross section due to the uncertainties of parton distribution functions (PDF). Particular attention is given to b ¯ bH Yukawa coupling enhanced production mechanisms in beyond SM scenarios, such as MSSM. The PDF uncertainties are determined by the robust Lagrange Multiplier method within the CTEQ global analysis framework. We show that PDF uncertainties dominate over theoretical uncertainties of the perturbative calculation…

Parton distributions and the strong coupling: CTEQ6AB PDFs

We study the global analysis for parton distributions as a function of the QCD strong coupling strength αs, and present a new series of distributions that span the range 0.110 < αs(mZ) < 0.128. We

Effects of Universal Extra Dimensions on Higgs Signals at Lhc

A major focus at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will be on Higgs boson studies and it would be an interesting prospect to simultaneously probe for physics beyond the Standard Model in the Higgs

Distinguishing split supersymmetry in Higgs signals at the CERN Large Hadron Collider

We examine the possibility of detecting signals of split supersymmetry in the loop-induced decay h{yields}{gamma}{gamma} of the Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider, where charginos, as surviving

Transverse momentum resummation for Higgs boson produced via b anti-b fusion

We study the impact of initial-state multiple parton radiation on transverse momentum $(q_T)$ distribution of Higgs boson produced via bottom quark fusion at hadron colliders. The shape of the

Search for heavy neutral MSSM Higgs bosons with CMS: reach and Higgs mass precision

The search for MSSM Higgs bosons will be an important goal at the LHC. We analyze the search reach of the CMS experiment for the heavy neutral MSSM Higgs bosons with an integrated luminosity of 30 or

On the intrinsic bottom content of the nucleon and its impact on heavy new physics at the LHC

A bstractHeavy quark parton distribution functions (PDFs) play an important role in several Standard Model and New Physics processes. Most analyses rely on the assumption that the charm and bottom

Analytic results for Higgs production in bottom fusion

We evaluate analytically the cross section for Higgs production plus one jet through bottom quark fusion. By considering the small pT limit we derive expressions for the resummation coefficients

Higgs Production in Association with Bottom Quarks at Hadron Colliders

We review the present status of the QCD corrected cross-sections and kinematic distributions for the production of a Higgs boson in association with bottom quarks at the Fermilab Tevatron and CERN

Effects of supersymmetric QCD in hadronic Higgs production at next-to-next-to-leading order

An estimate of the NNLO supersymmetric QCD effects for Higgs production at hadron colliders is given. Assuming an effective gluon-Higgs interaction, these corrections enter only in terms of

Supersymmetric Higgs production in gluon fusion at next-to-leading order

The next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections to the production and decay rate of a Higgs boson are computed within the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). The

Higgs-Boson Production Induced by Bottom Quarks

Bottom quark‐induced processes are responsible for a large fraction of the LHC discovery potential, in particular for supersymmetric Higgs bosons. Recently, the discrepancy between exclusive and

Higgs radiation off top quarks at the Tevatron and the LHC.

The QCD corrections to these processes in the standard model at next-to-leading order reduce the renormalization and factorization scale dependence considerably and stabilize the theoretical predictions for the cross sections.

Uncertainties of predictions from parton distribution functions. I. The Lagrange multiplier method

We apply the Lagrange Multiplier method to study the uncertainties of physical predictions due to the uncertainties of parton distribution functions (PDFs), using the cross section for W production

Higgs-boson production in association with bottom quarks, pp/pp{yields}bbH+X, is one of the most important discovery channels for supersymmetric Higgs particles at the Tevatron and the LHC. We have
