  • In May 1901, the Mexican army commanded by General Bravo ended the conflict of the Caste War, which lasted more than 50 years in the Yucatan Peninsula. The end of this war resounded in all the national newspapers as being the big triumph of the Mexican people against the rebel and barbarian Mayas.
