@article{Martin2008UltravioletGI, title={Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation: Current best practices}, author={S. Martin and C. Dunn and J. Freihaut and W. Bahnfleth and Josephine Lau and Ana Nedeljkovic-Davidovic}, journal={Ashrae Journal}, year={2008}, volume={50} }
Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) has been shown to kill harmful bacteria, viruses and fungi in air systems. This article covers best practices for using UVGI, including placing the UVGI system inside air ducts and in occupant spaces. It also summarizes information presented in a new UVGI chapter in the 2008 ASHRAE Handbook - HVAC Systems and Equipment.
