The present paper describes the characteristic ultrastructural features of spermiogenesis and the spermatozoon of Monorchis parvus (Trematoda, Digenea, Monorchiidae). This spermiogenesis is characterized by a flagellar rotation of about 120° and the formation of a novel ultrastructural element: a centriolar extension.
