Azospirillum brasilense Cd localization in wheat roots was studied by light microscopy, by scanning, and by transmission electron microscopy.A. brasilense Cd cells were specifically identified immunocytochemically around and within root tissues.A. brasilense Cd cells found both outside and inside inoculated roots were intensively labeled with colloidal gold.
