INTRODUCTION An ectopic ureter is a congenital abnormality whereby the ureter opens at a site other than the trigone of the urinary bladder. This communication describes the diagnosis and findings associated with a unilateral ectopic ureter in a Labrador bitch by means of ultrasound. Emphasis is placed on the ultrasonographic images of the intramural segment of the ectopic ureter at the level of the bladder trigone.
