Abstract Rats were injected subcutaneously with 75 mg or 125mg/100g body weight of strontium chloride and some with tetracycline at the same time. They were killed 4 days later and the maxillary incisors prepared. Two hypomineralized layers were consistently identified in the labial dentine by microradiography. The tetracycline injection labelled the outer edge of the external hypomineralized layer, indicating that this layer represented the dentine-predentine junction at the time of injection… CONTINUE READING
