Two modified metallophthalocyanines (MPcs) containing sulfonic naphthoxy substituents were synthesized. The measurements of transient absorption and time-resolved photoluminescence were used to study the ultrafast response and excited state dynamics of two MPcs in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solution, which were predominantly in the monomeric form.
