We report on the temperature dependence of thermal conductivity of single crystalline and polycrystalline organometallic perovskite CH3NH3PbI3. The comparable absolute values and temperature dependence of the two samples' morphologies indicate the minor role of the grain boundaries on the heat transport. Theoretical modeling demonstrates the importance of the resonant scattering in both specimens. The interaction between phonon waves and rotational degrees of freedom of CH3NH3(+) sublattice…

Ultralow thermal conductivity in tetrahydrofuran clathrate hydrate
The detailed knowledge of the low thermal conductivity of host–guest compounds is essential to improve our fundamental understanding of heat conduction in complex solids and develop high-performance
Thermal and electrical properties of methylammonium lead iodide perovskite compact before and after phase transition
Abstract First-principles calculations predict that the cubic phase of methylammonium lead iodide (CH3NH3PbI3), a well-known perovskite material containing no rare metals, will show thermoelectric
Ultralow thermal conductivity of two-dimensional metal halide perovskites.
TLDR
By systematically studying eight different two-dimensional hybrid perovskites, it is shown that the thermal conductivities of the authors' hybrid films do not depend on the thicknesses of the organic layers and instead are highly dependent on the relative orientation of theorganic chains sandwiched between the inorganic constituents.
Electrical Properties of Organometallic Perovskite Films
The electrical properties of the films of organometallic perovskites CH3NH3PbBr3 and CH3NH3PbI3 were studied. Current–voltage characteristics for the CH3NH3PbBr3 and CH3NH3PbI3 samples were measured
Remarkably Weak Anisotropy in Thermal Conductivity of Two-Dimensional Hybrid Perovskite Butylammonium Lead Iodide Crystals.
TLDR
Analysis of thermal transport properties of 2D butylammonium lead iodide crystals finds the unique structure with the preferential alignment of organic chains and complicated energy landscape leads to moderately smaller phonon lifetimes in the out-of-plane direction and comparable phonon group velocities in in-plane and out- of-plane directions.
Lattice Thermal Conductivity of Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Perovskite CH3NH3PbI3
Great success has been achieved in improving the photovoltaic energy conversion efficiency of the organic-inorganic perovskite-based solar cells, but with very limited knowledge on the thermal
Structural Phase- and Degradation-Dependent Thermal Conductivity of CH3NH3PbI3 Perovskite Thin Films
Organic–inorganic lead halide perovskites have shown great promise in photovoltaics and optoelectronics. In these applications, device performance and reliability can be strongly influenced by
Thermal conductivity of suspended single crystal CH3NH3PbI3 platelets at room temperature.
TLDR
The ultra-low thermal conductivity of perovskites, especially thin films, suggests their promising applications for thermal isolation, such as thermal insulation and thermo-electricity.

Origin of glassy crystalline behavior in the thermal properties of clathrate hydrates: a thermal conductivity study of tetrahydrofuran hydrate

We have measured the pressure and temperature dependences of the resistivity and the thermoelectric power of anatase, TiO2. The resistivity varies with T 3 at high temperatures, and its absolute
Resonant bonding leads to low lattice thermal conductivity.
TLDR
First-principles calculations reveal that long-ranged interaction along the 100-degree direction of the rocksalt structure exist in lead chalcogenides, SnTe, Bi2Te3, Bi and Sb due to the resonant bonding that is common to all of them, which explains why rocksalt IV-VI compounds have much lower thermal conductivities than zincblende III-V compounds.
Optical properties of CH3NH3PbX3 (X = halogen) and their mixed-halide crystals
Thin films of microcrystalline CH3NH3PbX3 (X = halogen) as well as their mixed-halide crystals were fabricated by the spin-coating technique, and their optical properties were investigated. X-ray
