Twenty-five patients with triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tears associated with ulnar positive variance who did not respond to conservative management were treated by ulnar shortening. The follow-up period averaged 35 months. All patients complained of pain, restricted forearm rotation, and weakness of grip.
