We describe an explicit UV regularization of the brane singularities for all 4D flat configurations of 6D gauged chiral supergravity compactified on axially symmetric internal spaces (for which the general solutions are known). All such solutions have two or fewer co-dimension two singularities, which we resolve in terms of microscopic co-dimension one cylindrical 4-branes, whose interiors are capped using the most general possible 4D flat solution of the 6D field equations. By so doing we show… Expand
Self-properties of codimension-2 braneworlds
We consider four-dimensional de Sitter, flat and anti de Sitter branes embedded in a six-dimensional bulk spacetime whose dynamics is dictated by Lovelock theory. We find, applying a generalisedExpand
UV caps, IR modification of gravity, and recovery of 4D gravity in regularized braneworlds

The fate of unstable gauge flux compactifications
Fluxes are widely used to stabilise extra dimensions, but the supporting monopole-like configurations are often unstable, particularly if they arise as gauge flux within a non-abelian gauge sector.Expand
Accidental SUSY: enhanced bulk supersymmetry from brane back-reaction

Effective field theories and matching for codimension-2 branes
It is generic for the bulk fields sourced by branes having codimension two and higher to diverge at the brane position, much as does the Coulomb potential at the position of its source charge. ThisExpand
The Casimir effect in rugby-ball type flux compactifications
We discuss volume stabilization in a 6D braneworld model based on 6D supergravity theory. The internal space is compactified by magnetic flux and contains codimension two 3-branes (conicalExpand

Large dimensions and small curvatures from supersymmetric brane back-reaction
We compute the back-reaction of pairs of codimension-two branes within an explicit flux-stabilized compactification, to trace how its properties depend on the parameters that define the brane-bulkExpand

General axisymmetric solutions and self-tuning in 6D chiral gauged supergravity

SUSY breaking and moduli stabilization from fluxes in gauged 6D supergravity
