We present an all-sky catalog of 869 nearby galaxies having individual distance estimates within 11 Mpc or corrected radial velocities VLG < 600 km s−1. The catalog is a renewed and expanded version of the Catalog of Neighboring Galaxies by Karachentsev et al. It collects data on the following galaxy observables: angular diameters, apparent magnitudes in far-UV, B, and Ks bands, Hα and H i fluxes, morphological types, H i-line widths, radial velocities, and distance estimates. In this Local…

STAR FORMATION PROPERTIES IN THE LOCAL VOLUME GALAXIES VIA Hα AND FAR-ULTRAVIOLET FLUXES

A distance-limited sample of 869 objects from the Updated Nearby Galaxy Catalog is used to characterize the star formation status of the Local Volume population. We present a compiled list of 1217

A Collection of New Dwarf Galaxies in NGC 5128’s Western Halo

We report the photometric properties of 16 dwarf galaxies, 15 of which are newly identified, in the Western halo of the nearby giant elliptical galaxy NGC 5128. All of the candidates are found at

Catalog & atlas of the LV galaxies

Abstract We present a database of galaxies in the Local Volume (LV) (https://www.sao.ru/lv/lvgdb/) Kaisina et al. (2012) having individual distance estimates within 11Â Mpc or corrected radial

Stellar Population and Structural Properties of Dwarf Galaxies and Young Stellar Systems in the M81 Group

We use Hyper Suprime-Cam on the Subaru Telescope to investigate the structural and photometric properties of early-type dwarf galaxies and young stellar systems at the center of the M81 Group. We

Tracing the local volume galaxy halo‐to‐stellar mass ratio with satellite kinematics

Funding Information Russian Scientific Foundation, 19– 02–00145. Rapid advance has been made recently in accurate distance measurements for nearby (D < 11 Mpc) galaxies based on the magnitude of the

Abundance of dwarf galaxies around low-mass spiral galaxies in the Local Volume

The abundance of satellite dwarf galaxies has long been considered a crucial test for the current model of cosmology leading to the well-known missing satellite problem. Recent advances in

WiNDS: An H α Kinematics Survey of Nearby Spiral Galaxies—Vertical Perturbations in Nearby Disk-type Galaxies

We present the Waves in Nearby Disk galaxies Survey (WiNDS) consisting of 40 nearby low-inclination disk galaxies observed through H α high-resolution Fabry–Perot interferometry. WiNDS consists of 12

ORBITAL MASSES OF NEARBY LUMINOUS GALAXIES

We use observational properties of galaxies accumulated in the Updated Nearby Galaxy Catalog to derive a dark matter mass of luminous galaxies via motions of their companions. The data on

THE LOCAL TULLY–FISHER RELATION FOR DWARF GALAXIES

We study different incarnations of the Tully–Fisher (TF) relation for the Local Volume (LV) galaxies taken from Updated Nearby Galaxy Catalog. The UNGC sample contains 656 galaxies with W50 H

Hunting Faint Dwarf Galaxies in the Field Using Integrated Light Surveys

We discuss the approach of searching the lowest mass dwarf galaxies, , in the general field, using integrated light surveys. By exploring the limiting surface brightness-spatial resolution

A Catalog of Neighboring Galaxies

We present an all-sky catalog of 451 nearby galaxies, each having an individual distance estimate D ≲ 10 Mpc or a radial velocity VLG < 550 km s-1. The catalog contains data on basic optical and H I

Advanced Camera for Surveys Imaging of 25 Galaxies in Nearby Groups and in the Field

We present Hubble Space Telescope Advanced Camera for Surveys images and color-magnitude diagrams for 25 nearby galaxies with radial velocities VLG < 500 km s-1. Distances are determined based on the

HI properties of nearby galaxies from a volume-limited sample

We consider global HI and optical properties of about three hundred nearby galaxies with V0 < 500 km s 1 . The majority of them have individual photo- metric distance estimates. The galaxy sample

New H I-detected Galaxies in the Zone of Avoidance

We present the first results of a blind H I survey for galaxies in the southern zone of avoidance with a multibeam receiver on the Parkes telescope. This survey is expected to eventually catalog

HI observations of nearby galaxies V. Narrow (HI) line galaxies

In this paper we present new HI observations with high velocity resolution for 104 nearby narrow-line galaxies with half power line widths smaller than 50 km s - 1 most of which are well approximated

A Catalog of H I-selected Galaxies from the South Celestial Cap Region of Sky

The first deep catalog of the H I Parkes All Sky Survey (HIPASS) is presented, covering the south celestial cap (SCC) region. The SCC area is ∼2400 deg2 and covers δ < -62°. The average rms noise for

HI observations of nearby galaxies - I. The first list of the Karachentsev catalog

We present H i observations of the galaxies in the second list of the Karachentsev catalog of pre- viously unknown nearby dwarf galaxies (Karachentseva et al. 1999). This survey covers an area of

DISCOVERY OF NEW DWARF GALAXIES IN THE M81 GROUP

An order of magnitude more dwarf galaxies are expected to inhabit the Local Group, based on currently accepted galaxy formation models, than have been observed. This discrepancy has been noted in

Discovery of a Solitary Dwarf Galaxy in the APPLES Survey

During the APPLES parallel campaign, the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Advanced Camera for Surveys has resolved a distant stellar system, which appears to be an isolated dwarf galaxy. It is

THE INFLUENCE OF RED SPIRAL GALAXIES ON THE SHAPE OF THE LOCAL K-BAND LUMINOSITY FUNCTION

We have determined K-band luminosity functions for 13,325 local universe galaxies as a function of morphology and color (for Ktot ⩽ 10.75). Our sample is drawn from the Two Micron All Sky Survey
