Tumor formation in terms of a two-stage mechanism after initiation with 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthnacene (DMBA) and promotion with 12-O-tetnadecanoylphonbol-13-acetate (TPA) has been investigated in the Syrian golden hamster.
